What exactly is in the pod?

The major equipment behind our 90+ games — kickballs, dodgeballs, zorbs, field-day gear, art supplies, and more — plus online curriculum access. Contents vary by pod type; school trailers are refreshed monthly.

What does it cost?

Schools: $1,900/month, five-month minimum. Communities: $50,000 plus shipping, including 40 staff-led events over 8 weeks. Sponsor wraps run about $10,000 more.

Who runs the programming?

Community pods come with our Recess Coordinators, who run 3 hours of programming a day, 5 days a week, for 8 weeks. School pods are staff-run, guided by the monthly-updated curriculum.

Container or trailer?

Your choice. Schools typically take enclosed trailers (easy to reposition); communities usually take shipping containers (bigger presence, wrappable, harder to lose).

Is this a nonprofit?

Yes — RecessPods is the growth program of Recess Cleveland, a 501(c)3. Proceeds subsidize free programming in neighborhoods that need it. Donations are tax-deductible.

How far do you travel?

Pods are built to ship — that’s the whole idea. Shipping costs are quoted per destination on community pods; school trailer logistics are covered within our delivery area. Tell us where you are and we’ll price it.

Can grant money pay for a pod?

Yes — foundation grant income can be used as partial or full payment toward a pod, and gap funding often comes from sponsors who want their logo on it.

How do we start?

Head to Get a Pod, tell us who you are and what you’re solving, and we’ll route you to schools pricing, community deployment, or sponsorship.
